RAFAEL GRAF

Rafael Graf (*2000) is a cinematographer with Swiss-Italian roots. Since 2016, he has worked on a variety of film and photography projects and was awarded the Lumas x annabelle Photography Award in the same year. After gaining technical expertise as a camera assistant on numerous film and advertising productions, he studied Film at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) from 2020 to 2024, specializing in Cinematography. During his studies, he not only engaged in camera work but also focused on visual storytelling beyond traditional narration as a director. Currently, Rafael works as a director of photography on both short and feature film productions.

Often guided by natural light and the immediate environment, his working style is rooted in embracing raw immediacy and the vivid state of things, creating space for precise moments and powerful frames.
